You must present a PAID registration receipt in order to obtain a Student ID card or updated sticker from the Campus Police Department.

If you do not have a vehicle on campus, your parking fee covers a Tyler Transit bus pass for the upcoming semester. You can update your ID at the TJC Police Department at 1019 S. Baxter Ave. or the Roger’s Student Center substation.
Register Personal Belongings
The TJC Police Department uses the US National Property Register as its registration partner to help reduce crime and reunite faculty, staff, and students with lost and stolen property, including cell phones, laptops, tablets, bicycles and many other types of valuables. Please visit https://www.immobilize.net/ to register your items for free.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes.
You can call Campus Police at 903-510-2258. You’ll need to know which building you’re in and at which entrance you plan to meet the officer.
No.
When you call to report a stolen item, the officer will ask for a description of the item. If you are able to provide enough information, such as make, model and serial number, we will be able to enter the item in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) computer database. This database contains records of stolen property from law enforcement agencies in all 50 states. If another agency were to recover your property, it could check the NCIC database and match information that might help you get your property back.
The primary jurisdiction of the TJC Police Department is property owned and under the control of TJC. However, section 51.203 (a) of the Texas Education Code states that the primary jurisdiction of a peace officer commissioned under this section includes all counties in which property is owned, leased, rented, or otherwise under the control of the institution of higher education.
The TJC Police Department has three different groups of officers: Police, Guards, and Cadets.
TJC’s Police Officers are commissioned law enforcement officers with full police authority. The uniformed officers wear dark blue uniforms with a “Police” patch on both sleeves and are armed.
The Guard division of the TJC Police Department consists of non-commissioned officers. They assist TJC Officers with routine duties. Guards wear a dark blue uniform shirt with a “Guard” patch on the left sleeve and a Texas flag patch on the right sleeve.
Campus Police cadets are TJC Criminal Justice students. Their responsibilities include parking enforcement and foot patrols. Cadets wear a dark blue uniform with a “Cadet” patch on the left sleeve and a Texas flag patch on the right sleeve.
