First cohort of TJC Promise students set to graduate

As of Friday, 105 East Texas students will have earned their diplomas as part of Tyler Junior College’s first group of TJC Promise scholars.

Farrington named TJC director of alumni relations

Susan Farrington recently joined Tyler Junior College as director of alumni relations.

Music Department Chair Jeanie Oxler is in her 19th year at TJC, and enjoys every minute of teaching, whether inside or outside the classroom.

She’s a Navy veteran, a mother, a foster parent, a ballet dancer, a former nurse at East Texas Medical Center, and a professor at TJC for the past 13 years.

Above the door in Dr. Cliff Boucher’s office hangs a sketch of a cheetah, given to him by a former student – an art major – who spent her time in his biology class drawing instead of taking notes.
