Online Degrees
Online degrees can be completed entirely off-campus. You won’t have to commute to TJC, even for testing.
Hybrid Degrees
Hybrid degrees allow you to complete your degree mostly online, with minimal in-person classes.

All TJC courses are guaranteed to transfer to all Texas public colleges and universities, however you may want to check with your transfer institution to make sure the courses you take at TJC will apply toward your specific degree path.
Yes, all of TJC’s student services, library and OHPE services are available to online students as well.

An online course is a college course for credit that takes place mostly – or entirely – online. These courses replace the classroom experience with an online learning environment where students receive lectures and interact with other students through the internet. Unless the course has a hybrid element, students are not required to commute to the TJC campus.
Hybrid courses take place both online, and in a TJC classroom. They will typically have a one-hour lecture and two hours of online coursework per week.
The online application process for online and hybrid degrees is the same.
The TJC Online Campus is for students who wish to take their entire degree, or to finish their degree, online. If you plan on supplementing your college coursework with some online classes, please speak with an advisor. Students who wish to take some online courses can register on Apache Access along with their regular courses.
Only degrees listed in the degree section of this website are available online. Other degrees may have certain classes available online, but are not 100% online.
If all of the classes you will be taking are fully online, you do not have to turn in a vaccination form.
